Denessy's sire Black Dancer is a son of the highly acclaimed German pony sire, Black Boy who was champion of his stallion grading and has sired many Bundeschampionat ponies, licensed sons and State Premium daughters with exceptional jumping ability. The line traces back to the International Jumping Hanoverian stallion Grannus who was crossed with the successful Welsh B stallion line of Heros.  Denessy’s Grandam, Desteny, is a full sister to the successful British European Dressage Team pony, Caesar 171.

As a three year old, Denessy was well placed at the notable Rastede Show in Germany.  She then produced two foals by Apslau and Brillant’s Golden Boy before returning to her ridden career at the end of 2002 - proving to be talented and easy.  Denessy is currently owned by the young British rider Sara Chittleborough and is proving to be talented and genuine in all spheres  The combination are enjoying great success in eventing and dressage.
