This lovely elegant filly is by the imported German pony stallion Nibelungenheld IV who is a member of one of Germany’s most successful families.

Nairobi graded into the Head Studbook by the SPSS in 2006 and then went on loan to event rider Teri England who backed her and started her competition career. Indeed, at her first attempt at BSJA British Novice, Nairobi jumped two lovely clear rounds only missing the winning spot by 100th of a second, despite being the only pony in the competition! Under the guidance of Teri, Naiorbi began working towards a career in eventing proving to be bold and talented as can be clearly seen in the pictures of her first XC session.

Alice Jones, who is only 12 yrs old, now owns Nairobi and, in her first competitions with this young pony, has consistently jumped double clear rounds. At their first BSJA Newcomers class (Alice then aged 11), this combination produced a faultless double clear and finished in 4th place qualifying for Scope in September 2010.

 

In August 2010, at their second attempt at BE90 at Aston-le-Walls, Alice and Nairobi finished on an excellent dressage score of 29.5 as overall winners. The following monthe they competed their first BE100 together and only added 0.4 of a time fault to their dressage score to place a creditable 7th.

 

In March 2011, they enjoyed a great start to the new BE season going clear SJ & XC to finish on their dressage score at Swalcliffe Park.

 

Alice trains with Caroline Wilks and keeps Nairobi at Caroline’s yard in Henley on Thames. With years ahead of them we look forward to following their progress and wish them lots of fun and success together.
