This Champion of Stallion
Grading is an exciting prospect carrying some of the most successful
German bloodlines and having excellent conformation, movement and great
presence. Broadway remained at the Stud
to mature until June 2010 when he moved to Lynne Crowden's Woodlander
Stud to be prepared for Stallion Grading with the SPSS. This he won in
style gaining the highest mark of the weekend under Hans Heinrich
Bruening, Geoff Glazzard and Celia Clarke. Broadway is now working well
under saddle and preparing for a competition career. Further information

Broadway's sire, Bernwode
Brokat, boasts an outstanding temperament, good conformation
and excellent jumping ability which, combined with his wonderful paces
and proven pedigree ensures a 'top class' sire of sports ponies.
Bernwode Brokat's bloodlines trace back to some of our superb Welsh
ponies such as Bwlch Hill Wind. He also carries the time honoured
Downland blood found in so many of the most successful ponies in both
Great Britain and mainland Europe.
Brokat's sire Brillant was one of the most prolific sires of successful
dressage and jumping ponies in Germany, having competed himself to a
high level in both disciplines in open classes. For three consecutive
years he was the top sire of German dressage ponies and within the top
three sires over a period of six years!
Cornelia, Brokat's dam, is by the notable pony stallion Diamant II who
won a Gold Medal for Germany as a member of the 1982 European Pony
Dressage Team in Copenhagen. He too has sired many approved sons and
State Premium daughters.
Broadway's dam,
Bernwode Mandy
is a 1993 German State Premium pony mare who is branded and approved by
both the Weser Ems (Oldenburg) and SPSS Head Studbook (UK). Mandy
is by the notable German sire 'Apslau' whose offspring have won over
17.000 DM in prize money in affiliated competition. Mandy herself is the
grandam of the 2007 Bundeschampion jumping pony, Handsome Boy, and Dam
of the stud's up and coming event pony,
