Due to our international competition commitments in 2004 two of our broodmares were leased to outside studs for the breeding season.
Bred by Sarah Eberle – Rosewater Stud
Rosewater Mavour’neen Bernwode Dorina X Manitu N 2004 Bay Colt registered SPSS
Rosewater Mavour’neen and his dam, Bernwode Dorina, were champion foal and champion broodmare, respectively, at the 2004 British Dressage Young Horse and Breeders Championships at Addington Manor EC. This was a mark of Mavour’neen’s quality and movement as he was by far the youngest foal forward at only six weeks of age. Both studs are delighted that their success led to both mare and foal featuring on the front cover of ‘British Dressage’ magazine.
Rosewater Mavour’neen is by the German bred pony stallion, Manitu N, who became National four year old Riding Pony Champion in Denmark before being imported to Great Britiain as the 1999 European Team ride for Maria Eilberg. Manitu has become Great Britain’s leading dressage pony, competing at every European Championship since 1999 and winning Team silver and Team Bronze medals with Lorna Edmonds and Samantha Harrison.

Bred by Susan Freeth – Owner of sire Orchard Glasnost
Ottavia Bernwode Evelina X Orchard Glasnost 2004 Bay Filly registered SPSS
Ottavia is the first filly to be born to our Dutch pony mare, Bernwode Evelina. She is also the very first foal on the ground by Susan Freeth’s own Dutch pony stallion, Orchard Glasnost and a great credit to his ability as a sire.
Orchard Glasnost was imported to England as a three year old and bought at the Equilibra Elite auction. Until 2003 this talented stallion competed in dressage working up to Advanced Medium level. Orchard Glasnost’s pedigree includes many foundation lines which have been instrumental in producing top European sports ponies. His sire and dam lines include the British bred Downland Folklore.
